April 20, 2004 Program
Our speaker today was Ms. Robin Hensley, President of Personal Construction
and Chairman of the Northside Hospital Foundation. During her presentation
on the subject "Volunteerism, It Contagious," Ms. Hensley noted these points:
-
Northside Hospital Foundation provides an opportunity for its 5,000 employees
to serve as volunteers in at least 75 projects.
-
Illustrative of the groups helped by the Foundation are Habitat for Humanity,
Hands on Atlanta, United Way, and Partnerships with 32 schools.
-
The emphasis placed on volunteerism by the Foundation serves the community,
boosts staff morale, and enhances the company's profile and reputation.
-
Northside Hospital Foundation is open to receiving application for consideration
from a charitable group or cause.
-
Northside Hospital is a non-profit institution and it accommodates the largest
number of child births in the United States.
