Our last two speakers were Joe Webber (January 10) and Ben Loggins (January 17). Mr. Webber shared with us information of his recently acquired radio station called "The Voice of the Arts in Atlanta." This is station WMLB - AM 1160 which broadcasts daily during the hours of 7:45am until 5:45pm. His broad selection of music and other entertaining features, including episodes from the Lone Ranger, are directed to the Baby Boomer Generation, ages 45 and older. Our second speaker, Ben Loggins, provided us information about an incident that occurred in June 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. The incident related to the sightings of some little Green Men and some unidentified flying objects (UFOs) in an area of Roswell about the size of three football fields. After examining some government reports which were released under the Freedom of Information Act, the UFOs were said to be nothing but weather balloons.
